YMCA/EMCA  Soccer Games for Today are Cancelled

Please remember if you have re-enrolled your student for the 2012-13 school year, the balance of your registration fee ($200.00)was due by May 1, 2012. 

Classes are filling up, so if you have not re-enrolled your student, you may do so by downloading the forms from our website at www.emcawildcats.org and turning them in along with your $300.00 registration fee. 

 

Grad Banquet/Six Flags Participants

If you are a 9th-12th grader attending EMBC’s Grad Banquet and you are going on the Six Flags trip afterwards you need to fill out a Permission Slip and turn it in by tomorrow.  Please contact Stephanie Jenkins at sjenkins@eastmemorial.org or 334-365-7500.

TWO DAYS and TWO DAYS ONLY!!!  The cheerleaders will be having a sale on Rick & Bubba Beef Jerky!  We had a lot leftover and need to get it sold!  So on Thursday and Friday, May 3 and 4, Rick & Bubba Beef Jerky will be only $5 per bag.  That’s $1 off the regular price!  The sale will be Thursday and Friday ONLY!  See Mrs. Aldridge to get yours!!

  

Chick-Fil-A Discounts Cards

I hope everyone is excited about the Chick-Fil-A discount cards and finding ways to sell them to family and friends.

 We hope everyone will be encouraged to sell more than their minimum 10 booklets because as an incentive, we are offering an Ipad 2 to the top salesperson (with a minimum of 40 cards sold). Also every student that sells 10 coupon booklets their name will go in a drawing for a pair of Beats Headphones. 

The discount card sale will end May 9th! Please remember to keep up with your cards because lost or missing cards will be charged to your school account. Thanks for your support!

We are only FIVE boys short of having a full Pee Wee team!!  We need all interested boys currently in grades 4th and 5th to please sign up immediately.  Spring clinic is May 12th, 9AM-12PM.  We encourage everyone to attend.  All who are signed up for Pee Wee football, please email me to let me know if you will or will not be attending.  deannawbyrd@gmail.com

All those signed up for Termite Football should contact me immediately to let me know if you will or will not be attending the Spring Clinic on May 12th.  This is where all information for registration and football requirements will be discussed.  Email me at deannawbyrd@gmail.com

 The SGA Officers, Class Officers and the Scrapbook Class will be attending the SGA State Convention at Faulkner University in Montgomery on Monday, May 7th.  We will leave school about8:00 and return approximately1:30.   Students will hear campaign speeches from the candidates and participate in statewide elections for SGA officers.   The students chose to make it a “Dress Up Day,” although girls may wear dress slacks if they wish.   They will need money to buy lunch at theFood Court at Eastdale.  We will take the church bus and the ten passenger van.  Mrs. Baker and I will be chaperones and Brother Bryan and Chris Richey will drive the bus, but at least one more parent chaperone is needed.   Thanks!  Angie Mitchell

 The lunch accounts will need to be paid in full no later than May 16, 2012. As of May 14, 2012 unless they have money in their account they will not be allowed to charge, so we can get ready to close out for the year.

A Summer Session Driver’s Education Course will be offered at Prattville Christian Academy (secondary building room 111) with classroom instruction May 29-June 1, 2012.  Driving instruction lasts 6 weeks to 2 months.  The course will be taught by a certified instructor, Mr. Jackie Hammock.  Students wishing to take Driver’s Ed. must be at least 15 years of age by June 15, 2012.  The cost of the class is $250.00 with checks made payable to J. Hammock.  If you are interested in taking the course at PCA, please contact Mr. Hammock at 334-328-9030.

The 2012 East Memorial Christian Academy Sports Award night will be held Thursday, May 3rd at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium.  We will be honoring all our athletes and coaches for their hard work and dedication throughout the school year.  Dress is “Business Casual” (NO jeans or shorts).  Dinner will be served promptly at 6 p.m. with awards and recognition to follow.

The Wildcat Club will be providing the main dish but to keep this as a free event we are asking attending families with last names starting from A-M to bring a side dish;  families with last names starting from N-Z to bring a dessert.  Please RSVP in the front office no later than Monday, April 30th so that we may prepare enough food. 

We look forward to seeing you at this wonderful evening to celebrate the accomplishments of our athletic teams and athletes!

EMCA Drama presents The Five Little Peppers and How They Grew on Friday, April 27 at 7pm and on Saturday, April 28 at 2:30pm. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door.

 

Termite Cheerleading:

Elementary Choir and Band Spring Program will be May 10, 2012 at 6:30pm in the gym.

It will start with K-4 first, the 1st – 5th grades will perform, and the finale will be the Wildcat Band!


National Day of Prayer

The 61st Annual National Day of Prayer will be observed Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 9:00 am.  The public is invited to attend.  The service will last about an hour.  Prayers will emphasize topics such as government, military, media, business, education, church, and family.  IF you would like more information please contact Mrs. Jeznel Button at jbutton@eastmemorial.org or by calling the school office at 334-358-4085.


Registration for 2012-13

Parents:

The school year is coming to an end and preparations are being made for the 2012-13 school year.  Remember class space is limited and is on a first come first served basis.  If you have not re-enrolled for 2012-13 school year, you may do so by filling out the Re-enrollment Forms located on our website www.emcawildcats.org.   $100.00 of the registration fee is due upon enrollment with the balance of $200.00 due by May 1st, 2012.


 2012 Sports Banquet

The 2012 East Memorial Christian Academy Sports Award night will be held Thursday, May 3rd at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium.  We will be honoring all our athletes and coaches for their hard work and dedication throughout the school year.  Dress is “Business Casual” (NO jeans or shorts).  Dinner will be served promptly at 6 p.m. with awards and recognition to follow.

The Wildcat Club will be providing the main dish but to keep this as a free event we are asking attending families with last names starting from A-M to bring a side dish;  families with last names starting from N-Z to bring a dessert.  Please RSVP in the front office no later than Monday, April 30th so that we may prepare enough food.
