JV stunting tips: no toeing – no butting – no swimming! :)

Another great day of practices for both squads. Tomorrow the JV will practice but we will be finished at 5 p.m. I will have all the girls contact their parents first thing in the morning to make sure everyone gets the message!

This is going to be such a great year for the EMCA cheerleading program! We have such dedicated and hard working girls who find so much fun in a rainy night at the Biscuits game. We also have some wonderful parents who are willing to step up and do whatever it takes to get a job done!

Another great Top Dog practice for both squads today. Varsity is working hard on the "big" stunt and baskets. Alli, Katelyn S., Hannah and Ashley P. are a step closer to their backhandsprings! Molly did her round-off, backhandspring and it looked great.

The JV are progressing with their stunting skills. Learning good technique and moved on to extensions today. All the girls seem eager to learn and work hard at every practice!

GREAT JOB TO EVERYONE TODAY!

Thanks so much to all the parents who came out and helped this evening at the Biscuits game: Chris and Suzanne Pounds, Roderick and Loretta Brewton, Todd Self, Clay McBrien and Rhonda Rawls. I appreciate each one of you so much. It makes my job so much easier when there are dedicated parents who could have been home relaxing, but instead chose to come and serve others (in the rain)! Thanks again! It was a lot of fun!

Another great Top Dog class for Varisty and JV! Congrats to Molly Anne for her back handspring, great job! And Varsity girls, I hate to tell you this, but the JV pulled off that killer push-up! So the challenge is on – which squad is going to be able to do more than one first!!

Don’t forget to bring all the beef jerky money you have collected to me tomorrow. If anyone has any original flavor beef jerky that they do not think they will be able to sell, please return any unsold bags to me tomorrow as well. We have several girls who would like to have some more bags of original but it has all been distributed.

This is the OFFICIAL word that we will be ordering "Cheer Mom" and "Cheer Dad" t-shirts for the parents to wear at camp. We want our fans to be easily identified! So Moms, I'm going to design something similar to try-out shirts but in navy with gold metallic font. Dads, I'm going to design something a little more "manly" without polka dots, but still in navy and gold. I'll be sending out an email, but you can post the size you want here if you want to. The shirts should be less than $20 each.

ATTENTION MOMS: We would like to offer you an opportunity to buy an "EMCA Cheer Mom" t-shirt to wear at camp this summer. We're thinking about doing a navy shirt with the EMCA polka dot, similar to the girls' try-out shirt and then have written underneath that "Cheer Mom"

Would you be interested in that? We would like to do a shiny gold font, but that would increase cost. Willing to pay about $20?

What a great practice!!! If today was any indication of how hard these girls are going to work – it's going to be a great year! Hard work with no complaints – that's the way a coach likes it. Our two home pom routines are going to look really good.
